Two Hearts Two Worlds

Friendship is often described as finding someone who is just like us.

You like the same things. 
You think the same way. 
You understand each other without trying.

What moved me most about Project Hail Mary wasn't that a human and an alien became friends.

It was that they never asked,

"Are we too different?"

They only kept asking,

"How can I help you?"

That could be what the deepest bonds have always been.

Not finding someone who is exactly like you..

But finding someone who chooses to cross the distance.

In a universe filled with endless stars,

perhaps the rarest discovery isn't another planet.

It's another heart..

willing to cross the distance between two worlds.
